Doctors Medical Center Donates 100 Backpacks for Love Modesto

Oct 11, 2021

Doctors Medical Center was proud to participate in this year’s Love Modesto campaign, which took place on October 9, 2021.

We held a drive for backpacks that will go to local kids in foster care, as well as diaper bags for parents fostering infants. Our team collected approximately 100 backpacks and diaper bags. The backpacks will be filled with "comfort kits" before heading to kiddos in foster care. The kits will include items such as a flashlight, blanket, water bottle and more.

Thank you to everyone at Doctors Medical Center who was part of this special project.

Love Modesto started in 2007. The campaign leads community-wide volunteerism and initiatives among neighborhoods, schools and marginalized kids.

This is stated on Love Modesto’s website: “We exist to spread this idea of living a life of love to everyone in our community. We exist to be bridge builders between those who want to help and those who need help. We exist because we believe that when our entire community embraces this command, our community will be transformed.”

The next Love Modesto is scheduled for April 30, 2022.
