We are one of only 27 Comprehensive Stroke Centers in California, and the only one in the Central Valley.

DMC’s stroke care is recognized nationally by The American Heart Association for Stroke Gold Plus, Target Stroke Elite, the Target Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll, and as High Performing by US News & World Report.

Doctors Medical Center is also a Level II Trauma Center and Heart Attack Receiving Center, providing advanced care when you and your loved ones need it most.

Doctors Medical Center Introduces New Certified Facility Dog

Doctors Medical Center recently introduced a new, four-legged team member to the community.

Bria is a certified facility dog with Canine Companions for Independence and she will be making her way around the hospital visiting patients, visitors and employees with Chaplain Jeremy Brown. She isn’t full-time at the hospital just yet, due to COVID-19, but the hospital is excited to have her.

Canine Companions is a nonprofit that provides assistance dogs and ongoing support, free of charge.

It’s well-known and scientifically proven that interaction with a gentle, friendly dog can have significant benefits.
