Orthopedic Surgery Residents at Doctors Medical Center Match into Specialty Fellowships

Mar 1, 2023

The Valley Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Doctors Medical Center is proud to announce the next steps for its upcoming graduating class of 2023.

Doctors Medical Center currently has 15 orthopedic surgery residents this academic year; three of which will be graduating from the five-year program in June 2023 and then heading into fellowship programs in various specialties.

Brenden Cutter, D.O., matched into the adult reconstruction fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in New York City.

Michael Holmboe, D.O., matched into the adult reconstruction fellowship at The CORE Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dominic Woodson, D.O., matched into the pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

Being a teaching hospital – in both orthopedics and family medicine – means Doctors Medical Center is attracting the best and the brightest to the Central Valley. These doctors are bringing their knowledge of the latest in healthcare to our communities and with it, excellent patient care. Teaching facilities typically have a much higher caliber of medical staff and are challenged to stay up-to-date in evidence-based practices.
