Doctors Medical Center Hits Midpoint of Biggest Loser Challenge
Feb 26, 2019Doctors Medical Center has hit the midpoint of its annual DMCfit Biggest Loser Challenge, which encourages employees to focus on healthy living.
35 teams and more than 330 employees have joined forces to make the commitment to live happier, healthier lives.
The free, 12-week program promotes wellness and healthy living. There are three weigh-ins throughout the competition, and success is based on body percentage of weight lost. Numbers are kept confidential and participants are encouraged to set individual goals based on how much weight they want to lose or if they simply want to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
“Employees at Doctors Medical Center look forward to the Biggest Loser every year and so many of them truly put their heart and soul into the competition,” said Lindsey West, Employee Engagement Coordinator. “We have so many teams filled with motived people who work together and encourage one another to stick to their goals. There is definitely a strong sense of camaraderie with this competition.”
When the DMCfit Biggest Loser Challenge kicked off in January, the entire group of participants weighed 62,330.80 pounds. Now collectively, at the midpoint, the group weighs 60,447.90 pounds, for a total loss of 1,882.90 pounds or 3.02% body weight.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top male and top female competitors, as well as the top three teams, during the finale event in April.
