Emergency Nurses Represent DMC at Teachers vs. Nurses Softball Game
Jul 14, 2021We were so proud to have two of our Emergency Department nurses represent Doctors Medical Center at the Teachers vs. Nurses softball game over the Independence Day holiday weekend at John Thurman Field in Modesto.
Michael Weber and Amanda DeGrendele were nominated and then selected to be on the team filled with local nurses. They played an awesome game! The nurses won 10-0.
Michael – who played shortstop – went 4-5 with a double, two RBIs and four runs. He turned a double play with assistance from Amanda. Amanda – who played second base – went 3-5 with two RBIs and two runs. She turned two double plays on defense.
Following the game, the Independence Day Celebration continued with a movie screening of Raya and the Last Dragon, fireworks show and concert featuring local country music band, Blue Line.
