Good Day Sacramento Spotlights Bria for National Service Dog Month

September is National Service Dog Month, a time devoted to raising awareness and showing appreciation for the extraordinary work service dogs do every day.
At Doctors Medical Center, we are proud to have Bria, our certified facility dog with Canine Companions. She makes her way around the hospital visiting patients, visitors and employees with our Chaplain Jeremy Brown.
Jeremy was recently inducted into the Tenet Heroes’ Hall of Fame for the wonderful work he does every day at Doctors Medical Center, with Bria by his side.
It’s well-known and scientifically proven that interaction with a gentle, friendly animal can have significant benefits. Bria always brings comfort and calmness to everyone she encounters, and we love having her.
Good Day Sacramento visited Doctors Medical Center on Sept. 27, 2023, to highlight Bria throughout their show in honor of Service Dog Month.
