Warren J. Kirk Appointed as Central Valley Market CEO
Feb 28, 2017
From the desk of Jeff Koury
CEO, Tenet Health Western Region
I am pleased to announce that Warren Kirk has been named CEO of Tenet’s Central Valley Market, effective immediately. In this role, Warren will continue to serve as CEO of Doctors Medical Center and report to me.
The Central Valley is an important market for us and one that continues to experience substantial growth. As we evaluate our long-term plans in the community, we believe that having a strong market leader in place will help us develop coordinated service lines, enhance access to high-quality healthcare, provide an even greater care experience to patients, and more effectively deliver on our mission.
Warren has an outstanding track record as CEO at DMC. During his tenure, he has led the hospital through a period of sustained growth and success, with measureable improvements in both quality and service. He has successfully met the challenge of overseeing this very busy hospital, which has experienced a significant increase in volumes – in everything from ED visits to inpatient surgeries – in recent years. At the same time, Warren has worked hard to improve employee and physician satisfaction, implement new technologies, treatments and service lines, and attract new physicians
to the hospital.
Sue Micheletti, CEO of Emanuel Medical Center, and Ikenna “Ike” Mmeje, CEO of Doctors Hospital of Manteca – our two other Central Valley hospitals – will now report to Warren.
I am confident that Warren, working closely with Sue and Ike, has the leadership skills and operational experience needed for this role.
Please join me in congratulating Warren and offering him our support in his new position.
