Awards & Distinctions

Doctors Medical Center is a 461-bed, multi-specialty hospital with more than 2,600 dedicated employees. In the more than 60 years that we have served the Central Valley, we have achieved a growing list of recognitions.

DMC has the first Level II Verified Trauma Center in the region. This Trauma Center enables us to provide 24-hour emergency care, immediately have surgeons and anesthesiologists on hand and provide backup care for rural and community hospitals. As part of the Level II designation, we also provide continuing education for our trauma team and preventive outreach programs for the community.
